    Information about Quartz Infra-red lamps

    The main use of these R7s infra-red lamps is in catering to keep food warm but there are many other uses  such as for inductrial drying. Most catering lamps have been switched to the "jacketed" versions which protect the lamps and capture the glass shoudl a breakage happen.

    No LED lamps are unable to product infra-red wavelengths so there is little opportunbity to reduce energy use.
